China (Nanchong) 2nd Asia-Pacific International Puppetry Festival will be held in Nanchong, China from June 1 to 6, 2017. This will be a great event for puppeteers from the Asia-Pacific region and other countries to communicate with one another and renew friendship, and this will be a good opportunity for players to show their characters. We sincerely invite you to attend the 2nd Asia-Pacific International Puppetry Festival. There will be Puppet and Shadow performances and theoretical discussions during the festival.

Traveling expenses to and from Nanchong, China and shipping costs of performance facilities should be borne by your side. During the festival, the Organizing Committee will bear the costs of your troupe (no more than 10 people) for meals, accommodations, and transportation within Nanchong including shuttle services to/from Chengdu (Chongqing) airport, as well as festival tickets.

We believe that this Puppet Arts Week will provide a chance to enhance mutual understandings and friendship, promote exchanges and cooperation and expand the international influence of Puppet and Shadow Art. Nanchong is a famous historical and cultural city, who is quaint and beautiful. It is the source and birthplace of the famous Chinese "Three Kingdoms Culture"; it is the hometown of such unique Sichuan North Giant Puppet which known as the "Crown of Eastern Art". Hospitable people of Nanchong sincerely welcome you and look forward to share the city beauty and joy and achievements brought by puppetry with you. Please reply promptly to confirm if you participate in this event.

Please send the completed application forms to the Organizing Committee Office before December 31, 2016 as well as DVD/VCD of the whole performance (should be consistent with stage performance) photos, introduction of the play, and participants lists as well as passport scanned copies of participants by e-mail or fax (disks should be sent by post).
